Troubleshooting Docking Station Display Issues

For troubleshooting issues with no display to monitors connected to your dockings station please follow the steps below:

  1. The first step to troubleshooting dock issues that we would recommend would be to first unplug your laptop from the dockings station and perform a reboot of your device. Once it comes back online plug it back and check for a difference with display to your monitors.
  2. If there is no change, unplug your docking station from power. You can do this but unplugging the connection normally located on one of the back corners of the dock. Sometimes this cable has a power light on the end, if you do not see one with a light remove the one that connects back to the large power supply.
  3. Once the connection is removed press and hold the power button on the top of dock that looks like the button referenced in the picture below for roughly 15 seconds.

  4. After this plug power back into the dock and turn the dock back on by pressing the power button.
  5. Next test the connection to the display's again and see if it is now working. If it is still not working check for and run dock firmware updates in the Dell Command Update App or the Lenovo Vantage App depending on what brand your device is.
  6. If you still have issues at this point reach out to help@iright.net for further assistance.
